This quick reference guide has been designed In an effort to bless and be a blessing when you initially encounter or are someone in need of services .

 

STEP 1 : CALL THE HOTLINE

Call the housing crisis hotline 757-587–4202 and let them know your current situation to be connected with available resources and shelters that may be able to meet your needs. Be sure to express any medical conditions that make you more vulnerable to Covid complications for as long as were in the midst of the pandemic.

 

You may also call the United Way 

The Community Assistance Network includes diverse organizations providing various services to our neighbors in need. This network is supported by United Way's Advocacy and Referral Service.

 

If you are in need of assistance, call an advocate today to be connected to available resources in our community!

STEP 2: PROCEED TO THE NEAREST LOCATION

 

***City of Hampton***  

Day Center: Visit the HELP Day Center located at 329 Buckroe Avenue

Accessible by HRT routes 109 and 115. 

 

Winter Shelter (November-March): 2022 – 2023 

A Night’s Welcome winter shelter opens on November 7th, 2022. 

The current location for the first 9 weeks of the season is First Christian Church; 1458 Todds Lane in Hampton.

 

The shelter is open nightly from 6 PM – 7 AM. Guests may arrive between 6 PM – 9 PM; dinner is served at 6:30 PM.

 A to-go style breakfast will be provided each morning.

 

***City of Newport News*** 

Day Center: Visit the Four Oaks homeless day service center located at 7501 Warwick Blvd. for an initial assessment, to access a shower a meal do laundry and get connected with other potential resources.

Transportation: Evenings Beginning at 3.45 p.m. With pick up at the following locations:

Four Oaks Day Center (will empty Four Oaks first before other pick up locations)

Victory Arch 25th Street ,

Corner of 36th Street/Jefferson Ave (nr. closed car wash)

Corner of Denbigh Blvd/Warwick Blvd (near closed Loan Smart Bank)

 

Transportation Mornings beginning at 4.30 a.m. With drop off to the following locations:

 Victory Arch

 Four Oaks Day Center

 

 

Shelter opens nightly at 6.30 p.m. and closes at 6.30 a.m.

 

STEP 3: REACH OUT TO EZER

Please call us at 757-317-0200 or click the SEEK HELP tab at the top of the page to reach an Ezer representative to navigate through where you are, where you would like to be, and if you might be a good fit for one of the programs we have available, We are always available as a point of reference for additional guidance and advocacy. 

Be sure to leave a voicemail or shoot us a text message if we don't answer so that we can get back to you ASAP.
